A remembrance post by Richard M Jones notes that a memorial ceremony will take place in Grimsby to mark the 85th anniversary of the sinking of HMT Othello.

At the same time, a parallel ceremony is planned in Bridlington for running partner HMS Yorkshire Belle at the town memorial garden.

Both vessels were lost on 11 April 1941 following a mine explosion in the River Humber, with all twenty-one people aboard the two craft killed.
